Expanded Shale
Used to improve the physical charecteristics of the soil. Expanded Shale has a cellular structure which provides aeration and porosity to the soil. It absorbs excess moisture; releasing moisture as the soil and plants need it.
Directions: Planting beds: Mix one 30 pound bag shale to 120 square feet of native soil.
Potted plants: Mix one part expanded shale to five parts good quality peatless potting soil. |
